VEILMONDS AVERAGE WELL

The Veilmonds sold yesterday averaged 329 guineas, compared with slightly over a, hundred last year. ■ Good prices were paid for Bullhead's progeny, a colt from Esmeralda- realising 1000 guineas. A Bullhead—Tango Lass colt (a brother to Pamelus) was passed at 650 guineas. A Marconigram—Gigolette colt went to J. Jameson at 375 guineas, and other sales were a Rampion—Phillis Martian filly to the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co. 'at 200 guineas, a colt by The Buzzard—Eastern Belle to Wright, Stephenson, and Co. at 220 guineas, and a Ruffler—Lady Isobel colt to H. C. Hardcastle at 60 guineas.
