EIGHT MEETINGS ON SATURDAY
IMPORTANT EVENTS ALSO IN AUSTRALIA

■The Easter racing carnival in the Dominion will be opened on Saturday, wh&n there will be galloping meetings at Wairarapd, Feilding, Auckland, Riverton, Gveymouth, and Tuapeka, and trotting meetings at Christchurch and"Hawera." The'carnival will be continued on Monday and concluded on later days of next vbek. In Australia, the A.J.C. Autumn Meeting, with the Doncaster Handicap;- St. Leger Stakes, and Sires' Produce Slakes on Saturday and the Sydney Cup oh Monday as its leading' .items, will hold a measure of interest for New Zealanders, though rather less than the usual number of horses owned in the Dominion will be competing.
