THEFT ALLEGED
' Charged with the theft, at Wellington, yesterday of a fur coat valued at £27 10s, John Paton Hardy, alias John Paton, a compositor, aged '32, pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court today, and asked to be/tried, by a jury. He was represented by Mr. M. Neale, who asked for a remand. The accused wav arrested . last: night. The charge was adjourned for the evidence of rtwo .witnesses to be taken.'. ■ .:..',.'■
