BIG BRITISH GOLF
The British Amateur will be decided by rounds of 18 holes, and a final of 36 on the course of the Royal St. George's Golf Club at Sandwich, commencing on Monday, May 24. The British Open will be played on the Old Course at Carnoustie on July 7, 8, and 9. The qualifying rounds take place on July 5 and 6, and the 140 competitors returning the lowest aggregate scores and ties may compete. These play one round on: July 7 and one on July 8, and the forty returning the lowest aggregates and ties play two rounds on July 9. The remainder shall be retired at the end of the second round.
