BLUM SHOUTED DOWN
CRIES OF "TRAITOR"
DEBATE ON CLICHY RIOTS

PARIS, March 23,
The Prime Minister, M. Blum, was shouted down by members of the Right when Tie rose in the Chamber of Deputies to intervene in a debate on the Clichy riots and the ensuing half-day general strike. The Premier wished to interrupt Dr. Ybarnegaray, vice-president of the French Social Party (formerly the Croix de Feu), who denied that members of his party fired on the crowd and when he said that Germany would never permit Communism to be installed in France there were cries ol "Traitor," and "Agent of Hitler.
