AUTUMN FLOWERS

KARORI SHOW

Magnificent dahlias and hydrangeas made a splendid show yesterday at the Karori Parish Hall, where the district's autumn flower show was held. Mr. B. G. H. Burn, patron of the society, declared the show open, and congratulated the exhibitors on their triumph over the weather conditions. One would have to travel far to see blooms surpassing the best of those in the show, he said.The judges were Mr. G. Clarke, dahlias and cut flowers, Mrs. H. Arlow, decorative and children's classes; and Mr. W. Bourke, vegetables. During the afternoon the members of the committee and their wives were entertained at afternoon tea by the wife of the president, Mrs. G. S. Nicoll. The results of the judging are as follows:— .
