A CHEERFUL THRONG
It was a question at Trcntham yesterday whether the change from really stormy weather to a certain degree of sunshine and brightness made the people so cheery in the afternoon, or whether it was something to do with the racing. At all events there was a pleasant spirit abroad, and people hurried round, intent on the business of the day, or wrapped themselves up warmly in the stand, according to their special inclinations. The central box, where Mr. and Mrs. C. Tringham were host and hostess for the day, was nicely furnished, and beautiful ferns were massed at the back, which were most effective. Mrs. Tringham was in a warm-look-ing tailleur of blue frieze flecked with a deeper tone and white, her smart blue felt hat being stitched on the brim, and she wore also brown fox furs. Her sister, Mrs. Lavington, who is her guest at present, wore a grey tailleur, with a blue and white spotted tie, and a blue hat. Others present included Mrs. W. H. Price, who wore a blue ensemble, v.ith a light tie-col-!'.i- spotted in bluj, and a blue hat; Lady Wilford, in navy wool marocain, matching hat, and fawn coat; Lady Shirtcliffe, black frock with beige vest, black hat with stiffened veil, brown fur coat; Mrs. Meakin, winebrown costume and fox furs, matching hat; Mrs. B.
