FORM FOR TOMORROW

A strong feature programme will be provided by the Timaru Trotting Club at its Autumn Meeting at Washdyke tomorrow. The New Zealand Trotting Stakes, for three-year-old unhoppled trotters, will be run by this club for the first time, and the second Timaru Futurity Stakes, for two-year-old pacers, is also on the card. All the fields are of good quality, without being cumbersome. Among the aspiring champions engaged is the American horse Gallant Knight. Single-pool betting will be operated. The following horses may be prominent: — Kingsdown Handicap.—Royal Romance, Sir Kit, and Indolent. Seadown Handicap.—Toorak and Sports Review. Timaru Futurity Stakes.—Horsepower and Southland. Timaru Trotting Cup.—Lucky Jack, Morello, and Pot Luck. Temuka Handicap.—Starwyn, Intrigue, and Ace High. New Zealand Trotting Stakes.—Thor, Frances Worthy, and Annapolis. Levity, F. J. Smith's Wanganui Handicap candidate, is bred on staying lines, his dam, Escapade, being b\ Nelson Bingen from the New Zealand Trotting Clip , winner Country BelJc Escapade was a high-class trottei, champion mare of her time, and a genuine stayer. Levity does not always race solidly, and requires a firm track,.but he has had three successes in the Auckland Province, and took a mile record of 2min 11 3-ssec at Claudelands. His last success was in the Cambridge Summer Handicap, of 13 furlongs, which' he won attractively in 3min 40 l-ssec, off 3min 52 sec, a mile rate of 2min -15 2-ssec. .
