PERJURY CHARGE
WITNESS ACCUSED
SUPREME COURT SEQUEL
Charged that on February 8, when a witness at a sitting of the Supreme Court, Wellington, ihe asserted while on oath that he was ri'bt present at the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel on February 5, thereby, committing perjury, William Henry Gardiner, wool classer, aged 62, appeared before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. Mr. M. G. Neal said that the prosecution was a private one, and asked for a remand until Wednesday. The accused was not represented. Bail was allowed in the sum of £50, with one surety of that amount or two of £25 each.
