MEETING AT NGAIO
The Ngaio branch of the League of Mothers opened their season in perfect weather, with a splendid attendance of members and friends. : ..•■■■
, The president, Mrs. Cummings, in extending a welcome to old and new members, expressed the wish that many happy meetings might mark the coming year's activities of the branch. Miss Marion Todd gave.an interesting talk on the three essentials for good health—a well-balanced diet, fresh air, and exercise. This was followed by a demonstration to music of exercises designed for various requirements, each movement being explained by Miss Todd. The grace and rhythm displayed were admired by all, and the vote of thanks proposed by the president was unanimously accorded. The thought for the month was given by Mrs. Rollings, and was in keeping with the subject of Miss Todd's talk. Songs by Mrs. Inglis r and musical monologues by Miss Alice' Dick were very much appreciated: Mrs. Gotham was welcomed as the new pianist for the branch, special thanks being passed to the retiring pianist, Mrs. Davey. Afternoon tea and a social half-hour concluded a very happy meeting.
