SUBURBAN PROPEItTIES.
Messrs. Harcourt and Co. during the week submitted several suburban properties for sale. A five-roomed house, standing on three-quarters of an acre, 72 Falkirk Avenue. Seatoun, was passed in, but a five-roomed cottage, 14 Ventnor Street, on land 40ft frontage by 120 ft deep, was sold for £500. For a property; 59 Hawker Street, Mount Victoria, a price of £2200 was bid but this failed to reach the reserve. A fiveroomed bungalow, 21 Chelsea Street, Miramar, on .land with 50ft frontage and about 120 ft deep, was sold for £800. Mr. J. G. Hill's spacious residence and fine grounds, at Western Hutt, and sections at Sunningdale, were also offered, but were passed in.
The following private companies have been registered in Auckland:— Baldwin Timber Company, Limited, timber merchants and growers, and sawmill proprietors; capital, £5500, in £1 shares. Boyd Boxes, Limited, to take over the business of the Boyd Box Manufacturing Company. Capital, £2800, in £1 shares.
