WASHINGTON TALKS
STABLE CURRENCIES
THREE POWERS INTERESTED
NEW YORK, March 6.
The Washington correspondent of the "New York Times" says the French financial developments had repercussions here, Mr. Morgenthau, Secretary of the Treasury, conferring with the new French Ambassador, M. Bonnet, Counsellor V. A. L. Mallet, of the British Embassy, and' Mr. Harrison, Governor of the New York Federal ReserC* Bank.
While President Roosevelt declined to reveal the character of the discussions, it is understood they dealt with problems of tripartite currency stabilisation in connection with the contemplated French loan. Persistent reports that such a loan would be floated or at least in part subscribed •in the United States are deprecated here.
