AN EFFECTIVE BOMB
SALESMAN'S EFFICIENCY
WASHINGTON, March 6.
Letters introduced as evidence at a sitting of a Senate sub-committee investigating labour espionage disclosed that a tear-gas and machine-gun salesman of the Federal Laboratories Corporation was ■so veager to sell his wares to the San Francisco police in July, 1934, that he seriously wounded a striking longshoreman with gasbombing, winning a compliment from his employers. A witness stated that the bomb was not called for and apparently was used only because a news cinema film was being taken.
