The management committee of the Mercantile League has been successful in arranging a match against the Wairarapa Cricket Association at Mastertonfor the Easter holidays. Celtic must have given the strong Mercantile League B grade side, Hannah's, a shock last Saturday when they held them to a draw.- W. R. King, of Celtic, was the main stumbling block to Hannahs. This player compiled a score of 86 not out. Henderson, of Smith and Smiths, came to light again last Saturday—he made 91 in the B grade match against Niven-Clarke. This player has been going very strongly of late. By the generosity of Bond's Hosiery Cricket Club a trophy is being offered to Mercantile League scorers for the best kept scorebook, and the judge is the recording secretary. It'is drawing close to the end of the season, and the committee hopes that there will be numerous entries. Harbour Board possess a good pair of bats in Prince and Myers, who again made light of the opposition last Saturday, Prince' having 81 not out and the latter 84 in the match against Empire Box.
