LARGELY-ATTENDED
FUNERAL
The. funeral of the. late Colonel G. F. C. Campbell, former Controller and Auditor-General, which took place today, was attended by a large and representative gathering. It was preceded by a memorial service at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral conducted "by Bishop Sprott, assisted by the Rev. G. McKenzie (acting vicar).
The chief mourners were Captain Campbell (son), Mr. A. B. Campbell, of Napier (brother), Mrs. M. J. Hacon (Wellington) and Miss C. Campbell (sisters). :.
The pall-bearers at the church were Messrs. E. D. Cachemaille and P. J." Townley (churchwardens, St. Paul's), Commander Tottenham (Royal Navy), Lieut.-Colonel Mead (New. Zealand Defence Forces), Messrs. G. C, Rodda (Secretary to the Treasury) and J. H. Fowler (Deputy. Controller and Audi-tor-General). The pall-bearers at the graveside were Messrs. F. T. ■ Glasgow (New Zealand .Rugby Union), J. Prendeville (Wellington Rugby Union> W. S. Riddler (Athletic Football Club), W. P. Rollings (Royai Port Nicholson Yacht Club), E. M. Wylie (Athletic Park trustees)', and&H.Paton (New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association). .
