AUCKLAND, March 1. i The Mataki return for the week ended February 28 was 260z for 136 hours' work from 9500 yards. DUNEDIN, March 1. The Okarito Five Mile Beach gold dredging wash-up for the week ended Saturday was 390z 9dwt for 124 hours' dredging. The White's Electric Gold Dredging Company (Barrytown), Ltd., reports a return of 260z from 7500 yards in 130 hours. The New River Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., reports a return of 630z from 10,000 yards in U3B hours. BULOLO GOLD. Mr. Fred O. Dunn, attorney for Clutha Development, Limited, has received the following Bulolo production report:—For month of January the total gross production amounted to 16,9780z of bullion, containing 11,7970z of fine gold from 899,000 cubic yards. Estimated working profit, 86040z of fine gold. The above production is equivalent to £103,223 15s, and working profit to £75,285, on the basis of £8 15s (Australian) per fine oz of gold. MOUNT LYELL. The Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Company, Limited, has issued the following progress report for the fortnight ended February 17:—North Mount Lyell: Tons extracted, 4356. Royal Tharsis, 636. West Lyell, 24,683. Prince, Lyell, 2581. Lyell Comstock, 3183. Furnace in blast full period; 4481 tons refinery anodes made for current year. Concentrator: Mill operated 336 hours and treated 33.956 tons ore, producing 2234 tons concentrates. Tank house in operation throughout fortnight, 508 tons cathode copper being produced for period. Total for the current year, 5089 tons.
