TRENCH FIGHT OUT
CUTTS'S TRENTHAM TEAM

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day,
Trench -Fight, one of Sir Charles Clifford's smart three-year-olds, was .not on the track this morning. His knees have given trouble lately, and it has been found necessary to ease him and not to make the trip to Trentham next week. He will have a good spell, after Yvhich he will be got ready to race again early next season. The immediate effect of Trench Fight being amiss is that Paper Slipper will now be included in the team for Trentham, Yvhere he is engaged in the Thompson Handicap and the North Island Challenge Stakes.
The two-year-old Nightdress will not be included in the team H; and A. Cutts will send to Trentham. He Yvon at Riccarton last month in his only start, but with other juveniles from the stable engaged at Trentham, Nightdress Yvill not race again until' Easter.
There was an impression that Sir Charles Clifford might send Top Notch to Auckland this month for the Great Northern Oaks and St. Leger, possibly with a tYvo-year-old mate. Any such idea has been dropped, and all members of the Cutts team will remain at home for Easter.
It is probable that F. D. Jones will send the Lord Warden filly Cerne Abbas to Auckland to contest the Great Northern Oaks and St. Leger at Easter.
