. ■■"' LONDON, February 28. New Zealand official circles, replying to Tooley Street dealers' criticisms of butter marketing control, attach importance to securing satisfactory price returns compared with competing butters.

It is pointed out that the premium on banish butter was reduced while New Zealand had doubled the. premium over' Russian .when compared with prices' ruling last year. They add that the'new procedure, which is working smoothly, naturally leads to criticism from speculators previously engaged in handling New Zealand pro- , The -Irish Free State during the past few days has been a substantial purchaser of New Zealand butter, owing lo a temporary shortage of supplies. There is also a temporary scarcity of overseas-butter,, resulting in a sharp appreciation, which some traders consider overdone, in ,view of the^ unchanged statistical position. Many .'speculators, are making a profit. ■J Cheese is ' irregular, but little ,is offering. . .
