DIESEL ENGINE FUELS
Too much importance cannot tie placed on the correct choice and care of fuel for Diesel engines.;-Unlike the petro! or kerosene engines, which stop as soon as" the fuel* lines become choked,.the Diesel engine forces impurities along through the injector, and extensive damage may be caused before it is noticed ,by the operator. Cleanliness, and good , ignition quality are two very important qualities in Diesel fuels. The idea that "any old fuel" will do, is probably one of the most prolific causes of trouble. The Diesel; engine with good fuel is a very reliable and trouble-free piece of mechanism.
A device to hold skis has been put on the market, in America. It is designed to hold as many; as five pairs of skis and may be attached to the top of a car without scratching, as it is padded.. When "used on a soft cloth top, a set of weight distributing slats is necessary. ' ■■■'■-■ ,
It is forbidden in Germany to sound their horns at night, and it has been the practice for some time for drivers to give warning of their approach by flashing their headlights on and off. A device has now appeared which converts the audible horn after dark into a visible horn. As the horn button is pressed instead of sounding it connects with the headlights, causing them to flash.four times in a second.
