MAX BAER ANGRY

COMMISSIONERS' "INSULTS"

LEAVING FOR ENGLAND

NEW YORK, February 24,

Max Baer, angered at what he termed the insults of members, stalked oul of the meeting of the Athletic Commission, where he appeared to apply for a renewal of his boxing licence. Mr. Ancil Hoffman, his manager, announced that he and Baer would ignore the bout with Bob Pastor, set down for March 19, and sail on March 3 for England to open training.

This action made it.unnecessary for Brigadier-General C. H. Critchley to make an appearance to ask for a ruling on his dispute with Max Baer in regard to his contract to fight in London in May against the winner of the Ben Foord-Joe Farr bout.*
