WEDDING

HINE—GRAVE,

At St. Mark's Churcri, Wellington, recently the marriage of-Laurai.Lavinia, only daughter of Mrs. and the:late Mr. E. L. Grave, of Warrington, Otago, to Reginald James, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Hine, Wanganui, was solemnised, by the Rev. N. E. Robertshiawe. -■ , ■~ . :'".-.■■ ■• ■ The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her' uncle, Mr. W. J. Ross, looked charming in powder blue crepefaced satin cut in .flared .tunic style over a pleated skirt:.with a -dainty spray' of pink and blue flowers at the high neck line. She wore a becoming halo hat to match and carried a bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas. She was attended by Miss C. Hine, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a tunic frock of dusky pink pineapple, cloque with touches of navy blue, a smart pink hat with navy quill, and carried a bouquet of roses and gladioli in tonings, of pink. .

Mr. Morton Jones, of Wellington, was best man. Mr. Watkins officiated at the organ. A reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Ross, MacFarlane Street, Oriental Bay. Mrs. Ross, aunt of the bride, received the guests wearing a model gown of black cloque with lace yoke and sleeves, with which she wore a smart black Bangkok hat with eye veil and shoulder spray of red roses and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Hine, mother of the bridegroom, wore a becoming gown of cinnamon-brown Chantilly lace with picture hat to tone finished with flowers in autumn tonings. She carried a bouquet of golden-tinted roses. For going away the bride chose a light navy blue tailored flecked angora ensemble, with Tyrolean hat to match. Their future home will be in Dunedin. , ■
