PROPAGATION OF THE FAITH
The annual meeting of the New Zealand National Council of the Propagation of the Faith was held in Wellington yesterday. The Rt. Rev. Monsignor Delany (Dunedin) presided over the following representatives of the four Catholic ■ dioceses—Rt.' Rev. Monsignor Holbrook (Auckland), Very Rev. Dr. Kennedy (Christchurch), Rev. Dr. O'Neill (Dunedin), Rev. Dr. McRae (Wellington), Very Rev. Father Long, Rev. Father Courtenay, and Messrs. P. D. Hoskins and F. O'Neill Reports disclosed that a- total of £4746 8s 9d was contributed to the official foreign mission aid societies. Of the total £3481 15s 2d was contributed to the work of the Propagation of the Faith and £ 1264 13s 7d to the work of the Holy Childhood. This represents an increase of £700 over the total of i last year.
