WOOL GROWERS' CHEQUE

LOCAL JANUARY SALE

The gross proceeds of the wool sale held in Wellington amounted to £746,007 9s lid, according to the official report of the Wool Brokers' Association. This compares with a return of £395,858 for the January sale last year, and £650,663 2s 8d for the sale held here in December. The two sales held in Wellington this season have returned to the growers a total of £1,396,671, nearly double the total of £725,501 for the first two sales of last season.
