GERMANY AND ITALY
| INTEREST IN ABYSSINIA | LONDON, January 23. The Rome correspondent of the "Morning Post" says a significant move towards the exploitation of Abyssinia has been takeij with the creation of an Italo-German East Africa mineral company, with a capital of £500,000. German financiers will contribute 49 per cent, of the capital and supply most of the technicians and specialised machinery. The Germans have undertaken to restore their share of the capital to Italy at the end of five years, reserving 25 per cent, of the production for German industry. Italian circles declare that similar international, co-operation is open to all who recognise Italy's sovereignty in Abyssinia.
