BERLIN AND AIR ATTACK
LONDON, January 23.
The aeronautical correspondent o£ the "Sunday Times" says he spent last week accompanying the British officers who are visiting the German Air Force at the invitation of the German Air Ministry. He says the Germans believe Berlin is completely invulnerable from aerial attack, owing to the perfect co-ordination of anti-aircraft guns, searchlights, and fighterfj, preventing even modern bombers making much of an impression. He adds: "From what I saw I believe them." He emphasises the efficiency of the anti-aircraft guns, which are electrically controlled and manned by experts who can instantly calculate the speed, height of climb, and even the circular flight of a bombing formation, and san, within two or three seconds, fire shells to the spots where the bombers would be if they continued their flight tor 10 seconds.
