VICTORY FOR VINES
PERRY OFF FORM BALTIMORE, January 24. Vines defeated Perry, 6-1, 7-5. The latter was badly off form and his service simply was not working. He won the first game in the first set on his service. He held on until the score was 5-5 in the second set, when Vines again broke the Englishman's service. At Tampa, Florida, W. T. Tilden defeated V. Richards, 6-3, 6-1, in an exhibition match.
