DEFEATING RAIDERS
During recent anti-aircraft preparations against a mock night air raid on Paris, French military officials adopted novel methods to hide the city from "enemy" aeroplanes. Street lamps were shrouded with odd mush-room-shaped dimmers to mask the location of boulevards and avenues, while blue filters made of gelatine subdued the headlight beams of official autos and motor-cycles.
