QUIET MARKET

The market for New Zealand butter in London is quiet and retail prices remain unchanged, according to information supplied by the Dairy Board by arrangement with the Primary Products Marketing Department. The cheese market was steadier at the end of last week. Wholesale prices for butter are: New Zealand salted, 93s a cwt compared with 95s to 96s the previous week and 91s to 92s a year ago; unsalted ?os to 965; Australian, 93s to 955; Danish, spot, 113s. Cheese quotations are: New Zealand, white and coloured, 52s 6d_to 53s a cwt compared with 56s to 56s od the previous week and 51s 6(1 to 55s a year ago; Canadian, 70s to "725; finest English farmers', 86s to 88s.
