DR. PETER BUCK
HONOURED BY SENATE (By-Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. On- the recommendation of the Academic Board the Senate of the University of New Zealand today conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Science upon Dr. Peter Buck, Director of the Bishop Museum at Honolulu. He ( is" the first Maori to receive an honorary degree and the fourth person to receive the honour at the hands of the-New Zealand University.
