BOWLING
ONE-DAY TOURNEYS Play in the president's and vice-pre-dent's rinks tournament at the Wellington Bowling Club yesterday resulted in section ties in section A and section D, and the time required for the play-off prevented the semi-finals and final being played. The following players proved the section winners, and they will meet for the semi-finals in the order given at a time to be arranged:— Section A.—C. J. Cooper, R..J. Thompson, Stonebanks, Spiller (s). Section B. —Davison, Hildreth, Edwards, Dickson (s). Section C:—Sturrock, Robson, Wilmot, O'Donnell (s). Section D: —Dixoß, J. Ross, Berry, Fairway (s). PLAY AT FORIRUA. A successful one day rinks tournament was brought to a conclusion at Porirua yesterday, the weather conditions there being excellent for bowling. All of the rinks were occupied and five rounds of section play were got off, the games being of ten heads each. Three post-section games of 'five heads were played, and Ryan's rink won the tournament.
