TUMBLES
"I am writing to you from Masterton where we are holidaying for a few weeks. lam having a lovely time with my cousin Muriel, who shows me the town. I love the way Masterton's streets are set out with trees. It is a lovely little township. I am bruises all over. I got a bicycle for the first time one afternoon and had innumerable spills. The next afternoon I was pedalling along under the impression that Muriel was holding the seat. Imagine my surprise when I looked round and found her running along behind while I was sailing down the street all alone. I was sct surprised that I fell oft immediately. The next morning we rode to Waingawa and back. I have collided with everything including a red brick wall and a gutter full of water." "LONESOME" (15). City.
