WOTAN'S MELBOURNE TRIP
(Special from "Limited.") HAWEEA, January 21. With close on a score of horses, the Hawera centre will be well represented at the Wanganui Jockey Club's Meeting, which commences a circuit of fixtures next Thursday. While most of the horses entered for Wanganui raced during the holidays, considerable improvement can be expected on the showings of those who had their initial outings at Christmas time. J. Fryer's horses Soloist and Namakia, who left this week for Australia, go into J. McLaughlan's stable at Caulfxeld. Fryer himself intends leaving in a fortnight's time with Wotan and Le Grand, and Tout le Monde is also a possibility for the trip. Cynical Kid, already there, will link up with the team. Should the team meet with success, the trip may extend over several months. J. Brown has had the misfortune to lose the services of the Nigger Minstrel filly Shemseh, who was very lame after working yesterday morning. She has always been a hard filly to keep sound and it is doubtful if she will ever be right again.
