BLINDED EYE
STRANGE ACCIDENT TO FOOTBALLER LONDON, January 1 Alex. Finney, left-back for Bolton Wanderers, was the victim of one of the strangest accidents on the Soccer field. Playing against Arsenal, he attempted to head a heavy ball which, landed on the back of his head. He continued playing for ten minutes, after which he went blind in the left eye. A doctor gave a diagnosis of concussion and temporary blindness. The "Daily Mail's" medical correspondent suggests that a possible cause was hemorrhage at the base of the skull. Finney may be suffering similarly to boxers affected by "punchdrunkenness."
