While pressure has remained relatively high to the north a shallow but " tensive „s epre j slon has been covering the lasman Sea and a series of slight ones passing to the south. Consequently moderate westerly winds have predominated but light southerlles have blown at times in the far north and on the east coast of the South Island. The weather, for the most part, has been fair to cloudy with mild to warm temperatures, but local rams havo occurred at a few scattered places, more especially in the South Island. Hicre has also been a considerable amount of mist or log on the cast coast of the howth island.
