STUDYING THE LATEST After an absence of six months from Wellington, Mr. G. H. Bassant, formerly manager of the Hotel St. George, returned by the Awalea today, accompanied by TvTrs. Bassant and their small daughter and also Mr. Bassant's father, Mr. C. J. Bassant. Mr. Bassant described his trip as being in the natuie of a "hotel refresher course," as he had made a point of visiting the hotels wherever ho travelled and of studying the latest developments in respcct to hotels. He visited London and the provinces of England, and also made a short trip to France and Brussels. A great deal of money had been spent on the hotels in England and on the Continent, said Mr. Bassant, chief attention having been paid to the provision of additional bathroom facilities and accommodation.
