USE OF ONIONS
A correspondent writes to "The Post" suggesting that if the medicinal properties of onions were more widely known it would be better for the public when an epidemic breaks out. The correspondent, who states that she has had considerable experience in countries where serious epidemics have raged, asserts that the essence of onions or raw onions flavoured with lemon juice, and preferably without salt, had proved most effective in checking epidemics. For children the correspondent recommends garlic.
