MOTOR INDUSTRY
AMERICAN OUTPUT IN 1936 (Received January 2, 9 a.m.) CHICAGO, December 31. A preliminary survey by the Automobile Manufacturers' Association shows that 28,270,000 automobiles are in operation in'the United States. The output in 1938 of motor vehicles and accessories amounted to a total wholesale value of 2,626,000,000 dollars.
