CHRISTMAS.
(Original.) Christmas bells are ringing, Their grand peal rolleth far, For once again this day has come— The birthday of Our Lord. Long years ago, In a land far away, In the lowly barn Of the inn at Bethlehem, A baby lay—the Heavenly King! While angels sang Their hymns of triumph and of joy— "Peace on earth; good will towards men." Still on Christ's Own Day That triumph and joy is fell. And we sing our songs As the angels did, To welcome once again The Holy Child i •As he enters anew our hearts. "ASM." Palmerston North. '
