CIGARETTE CAUSES FIRE
i m • ■ A lighted cigarette which came into contact with some bedding at a boarding establishment at 21 Abel Smith Street at 10.15 a.m. today' was responsible lor a rear bedroom on the first floor, with some of its contents, being damaged by fire. The Wellington Fire Brigade received a call to the premises, and the outbreak was extinguished by means of a bucket pump.
