SEEDS FOR EXPORT Mr. H. C. Wilton, seed specialist of the staff of Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Wellington, has just returned from a four months' business visit to South Africa. He believes that New Zealand will in future benefit by the export of certified grass-seed to the Union of South Africa. Agricultural methods in the Union, he said, appeared to him to be rather backward, particularly those appertaining to pasture improvement. However, the Union Government was taking the position in hand, and with the experiments that were being carried out at its research stations, there was every prospect that in the future fairly large areas of land would be laid-down in English. : ,grasse&
