The object of this lecture is to show : that the Holy Scriptures clearly reveal , that before the present age could end and the next age (the Milleunial age) begin certain predetermined recorded events would transpire. Some of these events are enumerated below and their presentday fulfilment positively heralds the near close of the present troublous age. (1) The decline of the Turkish Empire and particularly Turkey's loss of Palestine. (Rev. 16:12-15.) This event will b« illustrated by a large diagram. (2) Britain's occupancy of Palestine. (4) The "peace and safety cry." (I Thess. 5:3.) (5) Universal preparation for war. (Eze. 38:7, Joel 3:1-2, Zech. 14:2.) (6) "Distress of nations with perplexity." (Luke 21:25.) (7) "As it was in the days of Noah.* (Luke 17:26.) "All flesh corrupting God's way upon the eartTi." (Gen. 6:12.) (8) The restoration of Temporal power to the Papacy. (Rev. 18:7, 2 Thess. 3:8, Rev. 17:12-14, Rev. 19:19, Dan. 8:25.)
