SHERRY PARTY
A delightful "five o'clock" sherry party, which took the form of a "handkerchief shower," was given recently by Mrs. P. G. Pearce, Kelburn, for Miss Joan Perry, whose marriage to Mr. Rex. Carr, of .Thompson Street, will take place this week. Mrs. Pearce received the guests wearing a black floral taffeta frock and Miss Perry was in a smart blue, red; and white ensemble.
1 The lounges were bright with orange lilies, nasturtiums, and Iceland poppies, to tone with the furnishings, and delicious savouries were served. A happy time was spent, and Miss Perry was the recipient of a number of dainty handkerchiefs, combined with good wishes for a very happy future.
