PILLION RIDER HURT

When passing a motor-car near the Paekakariki railway station at about 6 p.m. yesterday, a motor-cycle, swung into a depression at the side of the road, and as it was being brought back to the roadway the left leg of Miss J. Kennedy, the pillion rider, of 145 a Aro Street, came in contact with one of the posts marking the edge of the road and she received a compound fracture. The rider of, the machine was also thrown off but escaped with a shaking. Miss Kennedy was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
