REBEL TERMS REFUSED
(Received December 21, noon.) NANKING, December 20. The authorities refuse the terms suggested by the rebels. ■ Mr. T. V. Soong has arrived at Sianfu in an endeavour to secure General Chiang Kai-shek's release. Mr. Arita, the Japanese Foreign Minister, has informed the Chinese Ambassador that Japan would disapprove of a compromise between Nanking and the rebels. ' ■
