Described in the annual report of the New Zealand- Anglican Board of Missions as "encouraging, if not satisfactory," the sum received for the year ending June 30 last is returned as amounting to £14,852. The various missions received the following amounts:— Melanesia: £5974, as against- £5728. The increase was £246. N.Z.C.M.S.: £4135 and special grant of £500, making £4635. Last year's amount was £4466. Increase £169. Polynesia: £781. Last year £749. Increase £32. S.P.G. (North China): £533. with special grant £120, making £653. Last year £691. Decrease £38. The Jerusalem and the East Mission: £405, with special grants £50, making £455. Last year £403. Increase £52. Local Chinese Mission: £45. Last year £105. The decrease is due to reduction of the board's budget grant from £100 to £50. Board's Mission Work: £229 and special grant, £50; in all £279. Last year, £270. , .
