REVIVAL ON CLYDE
BEST SHIPBUILDING YEAR
SINCE 1930
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 28. Clyde shipbuilding is experiencing its best year since 1930. With a month still to run, 1936 has already exceeded the tonnage output of any year since the boom period of 1927-30. The best year of the past five, 1934, has already been beaten by nearly 17,000 tons. Ninety-two vessels, of 283,622 tons, have been launched. During November eight ships of 38,640 tons were water borne. This output was exceeded only in the month of August. The 300,000-ton mark will be easily exceeded this year.
