SEVERAL ACCIDENTS
When he was knocked down by a car in Porirua at about 8.15 last .night W. A. Fraser, employed by the Public Works Department at Plirnmerton, suffered shock and wounds to the face. L. Gestro, of 36 Ribble Street, Wellington, a labourer, suffered concussion when he fell from a tram in Lambton Quay yesterday afternoon. A waterside worker, W. Lawson, living at 269 Cuba Street, suffered injuries to his right side and back and shock this morning when he was struck by corrugated iron being unloaded from the Kangitata, at the Pipitea Wharf. Injuries to the right leg were received by J. Shinnick, of 56 Nairn Street, a cadet, when he slipped on the pavement in Lambton Quay early this morning. All the cases were attended to by the Free Ambulance. " One first offender for drunkenness ■was convicted and di •■harged in tho Mount Cook Police Court this morning before Mr. T. H. Coltman, J.P.
