BIG RIVER REPORT
The Big River Gold Mines, Ltd., report for the week ended November 23 states: —No. 4 Level—South stope: Filling in is now in progress, and a new stope will be started in two days' time. Centre Stope: Work proceeding on the hanging wall leader with a face now showing a number of narrow seams of quartz. No. 5 Level —Advanced 21ft for the week, making 311 ft from the main shaft. The last 12ft have been through reef track, which shows seams of quartz carrying free gold. The hanging ' wall is not yet in hand. A new winding rope has been installed in the south compartment of the main shaft, and the winding cage in the same compartment has been changed for a re-conditioned one. Twenty-six tons of storie were raised.
