AUCKLAND DANCE BAND
AUSTRALIANS ENGAGED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.! AUCKLAND, This Day. Perturbation exists in the Auckland1 Musicians' Union at the prospect of New Zealand artists being displaced by dance bands and orchestras from overseas. The band of a cabaret in Auckland has been served with notice^ to terminate on Thursday in view of an Australian dance band commencing on Friday. . , It is pointed out that this is the second occasion within four months that an Australian band has been engaged for a New Zealand cabaret. The union is to meet tonight and is assured of support from the Alliance of Labour. Cabinet Ministers have been advised.
