Perturbation exists in the Auckland1 Musicians' Union at the prospect of New Zealand artists being displaced by dance bands and orchestras from overseas. The band of a cabaret in Auckland has been served with notice^ to terminate on Thursday in view of an Australian dance band commencing on Friday. . , It is pointed out that this is the second occasion within four months that an Australian band has been engaged for a New Zealand cabaret. The union is to meet tonight and is assured of support from the Alliance of Labour. Cabinet Ministers have been advised.
