LAW LOSES ITS GRIP
THEFT CHARGE DISMISSED
NEW YORK, November 17. Benjamin Chaytin, who disappeared 20 years ago after his indictment by a grand jury for stealing jewellery from the pocket of a room-mate, who died of heart disease recently, was apprehended, but the Judge released him because there' are no longer any witnesses.
Of 13 to testify against him nine are dead, one is insane, two are suffering from senile debility, and the last is outlawed because he is a convicted accomplice in the crime.
